The 20th century had just begun. Products were getting easier to access. It was getting more affordable to relocate. There was an increase in the number of families buying their own homes to live in. They stepped in at that point.

They started up the first glass factory in Lancaster, Ohio, in 1905. It was an easy concept. Create and provide the glasses that people actually need. People could afford the glasses. The idea that everyone can achieve excellence is fundamentally American.

Glass became more accessible to create and more dependable to possess thanks to innovations in the 19th century. A product using soda-lime was more reliable, long-lasting, and usable. It was malleable and adaptable to different uses. 90% of modern manufactured glass is soda-lime glass.

Tempering followed after. It became four times stronger when liquids were used to quickly cool molten glass. Everything from automobile windows to bulletproof glass to rim-tempered drinkware and oven-proof bakeware was made possible thanks to this discovery.
