According to Psalm 15, a person must possess certain qualities in order to "abide" in God's tabernacle and reside on His "holy hill." The psalmist used this metaphor to describe the feeling of being aware of God's nearness and strength. He claimed that such a person is upright and truthful (vv. 2, 3), as well as without malice. He hates the wicked, respects the righteous, keeps his word no matter what, lends money to the needy, and will not accept bribes (vv. 4-5).
Christians are appreciative of Jesus' death because it allowed us to be reconciled to God and receive forgiveness. But we frequently overlook the fact that Jesus likewise sacrificed his life for our redemption.
