These people . . . honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me. — Isaiah 29:13

Other imitations of things can trick us. When we are actually just going through routines, religious language, music, and artifacts might deceive us into thinking that we are having a personal relationship with God.

Many Israelites were simply going through the motions at the time of the prophet Isaiah. Because of this, God instructed Israel to stop offering pointless sacrifices and to stop using incense, saying that "Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates" (Is. 1:13–14).

The risk of religious deception inspires introspection on one's own life. Our religious rituals might only be hollow imitations of the genuine, sincere faith that the Lord seeks.

A hypocrite has the world in his heart and God in his words. The Lord above is grieved by the prevalent sin of deception; He longs for those who will worship Him in faith, truth, and love.

You received the Spirit of adoption. — Romans 8:15

Part of this assurance that our heavenly Father is attentive and receptive comes from verses like Romans 8. In this passage, Paul explained that those of us who have accepted Christ as Savior have been adopted by God and that, as a result of this relationship, we can approach Him with the confidence that He will hear us. We are able to scream, "Abba, Father," according to Paul (v. 15). The Aramaic term for "abba" connotes intimacy. The equivalent term today is "Daddy."

Do you require a close confidant to chat to? to distribute your worries and burdens? If you follow Jesus, you have a loving Father who is anxious to hear from you. You can be sure that your Father is listening when it's time to pray.

A busy signal will never appear on the prayer line to heaven. Jesus loves to answer prayer; He has commanded you to pray, so He won't turn you away. Come, my soul, and make your plea.

He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. — James 1:8

But very typical of many Christ followers! Although all of us have a natural propensity to sin, when we are born again through trust in the Lord Jesus, we are given a lovely new nature. This frequently results in a bitter struggle. The mind of Christ and our pre-Christian methods of thinking are constantly at odds with one another.

We resemble the two-headed skink that tries to go in different ways at once if we try to serve ourselves in addition to serving the Savior. No one can serve two masters, according to Jesus (Matt. 6:24). Either they will detest one and love the other, or they will be faithful to one and despise the other.

Let's entirely submit to Christ. It's the only way to keep the contradictory skink from driving you crazy.

Even if having two minds is preferable to having one, having two minds is never a desirable thing. Two laws conflict within me; one is wicked and the other is blessed; I love the new law and despise the old; the law I obey will prevail.

Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people. — Psalm 100:3

Because it was established on biblical ideas, America has enjoyed blessings. But because society doesn't believe that the Lord is God, we are gradually losing the liberties that He has granted us. It's understandable that violent crime has increased more than 75% in the US over the past 20 years given our nation's rising rejection of Him.

People who don't fear God can never experience true freedom. Let's renew our commitment to acting as God's people and pray for our country.

Psalm 33:12 says that the nation whose God is the Lord is blessed. Every good thing in our country is a gift from God, but we won't truly feel freedom unless we put our faith in His grace and love.

We are . . . well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. — 2 Corinthians 5:8

The idea of death terrifies a lot of individuals. The most sad of all our human experiences, it is regarded as such. It is painful to be apart from individuals we care about, there is no doubt about that. It is unpleasant to experience the physical discomfort that occasionally comes with passing away. Our faith may occasionally waver as we fail to recognize the glory that lies ahead. We must always keep in mind that for a Christian, death is merely the entrance to heaven.

After a Christian passes away, heaven's grandeur begins and the story of earth concludes. The only thing that will bring me glory throughout the ages will be being close to the wonderful Lord I adore after all of my labors and tribulations are through, and I am safe on that lovely shore.

Do not be afraid; only believe. — Mark 5:36

When Jesus was encircled by people one day, Jairus, a distraught synagogue leader, forced his way through the crowd and knelt at Jesus' feet. He cried out for the Lord to visit his home urgently. He felt the Lord could save his tiny daughter, who was on the verge of death.

Jesus, who was filled with compassion, accompanied him right away. A chronically ill woman, however, "came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment" (Mark 5:27) as He was traveling. He paused to cure her when He sensed her faith. Jairus had the awful news that his daughter had passed away just then. Jesus told him, "Do not be afraid; only believe" (v. 36), knowing his terrible disappointment.

In our own spiritual struggles, we may feel discouraged and disappointed. It seems pointless to hold onto faith. We could feel compelled to act alone. What good is belief any longer, we ponder? We are frequently beaten at this point, yet it is also the point at which success is just around the corner.

Are you currently dejected and prepared to give up? Jesus would advise you to not give up. I won't let you down. Only have faith!" You'll be rewarded for your faith.

Faith anticipates the unimaginable from God. When strongholds fall to dust, when there is nothing left for us to cling to,

We should put our reliance in God when there is nothing else that is certain.

Do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly. — Matthew 6:3-4

As followers of Christ, the majority of us show a positive attitude when we are serving Him in front of others. However, it becomes more challenging when we are asked to serve Him for an extended length of time in a remote location where no one can see us and we receive no acknowledgement. That is the real litmus test for devotion to the Lord.

Lord Jesus, enlist our aid as we strive to carry out the unnoticed, menial chores You have given us with faithfulness.

Avoid the spotlight if you want to reflect God's light.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. — John 13:34

It is never too late for any of us to learn how to love, no matter how little or how distorted the love we may have had in our youth. We might see a glimpse of love in God's sovereignty through a person or a support network (or even a gang!). However, we need to examine Calvary's cross in order to fully understand and comprehend the reality of true love. Because [Jesus] gave up His life for us, we might "know love by this" (1 John 3:16). Jesus' death reveals the heights and depths of love in all of its selfless sacrifice.

When we consider how much Christ loves us and when we acknowledge Him as our Savior and Lord, we will be better able to demonstrate love.

When we understand how Christ loves us, we can love others. Christ's unrivaled love is so gentle, pure, and sincere that it never fails, and individuals who experience this love demonstrate it in everything they do.

You shall have no other gods before Me. — Exodus 20:3

With a succession of plagues, God had the Egyptians' and Pharaoh's attention. They were now desperate to free their Hebrew slaves. However, God didn't want the Israelites to leave Egypt without anything. They owed them 400 years' worth of salaries, after all. They obtained the silver, gold, and apparel they requested from their former lords. The Israelites "plunder[ed] the Egyptians," as Exodus 12:36 states.

But it didn't take long for God's people to start making idols. They created a golden calf out of their gold, which they worshiped as Moses received the law on Mount Sinai (32:1-4).

This tragic event emphasizes the balance Christians must maintain with regard to their belongings. There is a lot about our civilization that we may appreciate. But when we utilize material things carelessly, they can also provide serious risks.

Do we serve the Lord with our financial benefits, or have we let them enslave us?

The brightness of the world's riches will never be able to light our feet. My old nature cries out loudly in an attempt to sate empty desires, but God, in His mercy, has sent me a Helper who gently says, "Your calling is higher."

O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps. — Jeremiah 10:23

Hebrews 11 emphatically responds "No" to these queries. It describes the persecution of devoted believers. Others were killed, tortured, and imprisoned while some were miraculously delivered. However, their shared religion is cited for each of them. God's sovereignty and wisdom, not His love or a person's level of faith, are what matter both then and today.

God does have a variety of ways. The first step to developing a stronger faith in Him is accepting this.

God puts our trust to the test so that we can test His fidelity. God has a plan for our suffering; the Savior always knows what is best; and we gain so much wisdom from every pain, difficulty, and test.

He who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. — Hebrews 11:6

There are probably not many people who have given their belief in the absence of God some serious thought. There are more agnostics—reasoning individuals who state, "I don't know." However, the vast majority of people really believe in God, at least on an intellectual level.

According to Hebrews 11:6, the first step to knowing God personally is to acknowledge His existence. After that, we must pursue Him and have faith that He would honor our effort to get to know Him.

We shall ultimately think about Jesus as a result of our search. According to him, "I and My Father are one" (John 10:30). He said that anyone who wants to obey God will be able to tell that He, Jesus, was speaking the truth (7:17).

You or someone you know could have already admitted that God exists. Keep in mind that the Lord blesses those who truly seek Him. And the only way to have a personal relationship with Him is to have faith in Christ.

Want to learn more about God? As you understand His Word, obey it. I sincerely sought God's presence to learn whether He existed, and He kindly revealed Himself to me along with His kindness, love, and concern.

Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. — 2 Corinthians 5:11

Almost everything we do is affected by our level of motivation. In fact, it influences how Christians serve the Lord. Some people only give Him their best effort out of obligation. However, some people serve with a sense of urgency and zeal because they are aware of the dreadful situation that sinners are in. They give their everything to the Lord because they are so appreciative of God's saving grace in their life.

That was the fervent drive behind the apostle Paul. He stated in 2 Corinthians 5:11, "Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men." "We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God," he continued (v. 20). Paul was serious. There was a lot on the line.

May we all serve the Lord with zeal!

Sinners will be drawn to the light when Christians are passionate about sharing the gospel. O make my life a raging fire of a pure and sincere heart-desire To locate the lost, raise the humble, and lead them to worship Thy name.

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. — Matthew 5:3

How would we rank the state of our spiritual life on a scale of 1 to 10? Even while we may want to please Him, our efforts fall short, our motivations are frequently self-serving, and our loyalty is in doubt. No matter what we try, we always come so short.

Maybe the following ideas will inspire you: Remember first what God thinks of us. We are fully pardoned and perfect in His eyes because of the work that Christ accomplished on the cross.

Then again, there is the current love and faith we have for Christ. Maybe we think of ourselves as a pitiful "1." However, if we have the appropriate mindset, we can still please God. He demands the correct attitude of heart even though He knows we are incapable of perfect performance. Jesus did not utter the words, "Blessed are those who realize their potential and never err." "Blessed are the poor in spirit,... those who mourn,... the meek," he declared. We may have just messed up our lives, and there may a painful price to pay, but if we repent and sincerely confess our sin, we can still win the favor of the Lord.

Because of our relationship with Christ, we are always a "perfect 10." And that ought to inspire us anytime we feel frustrated about our sluggish spiritual development.

Our salvation is not based on how well we perform, but rather on Christ's sacrifice. No more do I fear censure; everything in Jesus is mine!
I am alive in Him, my living Head, and I am dressed in heavenly righteousness.

You shall be witnesses to Me. — Acts 1:8

Proverbs 3:27's warning to keep oneself free of the guilt of withholding good must serve as our inspiration. Even more, we should be inspired to obey Jesus Christ out of gratitude. And joy comes from obedience, the Savior teaches us (John 15:10–11).

Christians deliver a message that fills our spirits with the heavenly harmonies. In Mark 16:15, our Lord entrusted us the assignment to spread that word to everyone, everywhere. Are we imprisoning the beautiful melodies of redeeming grace within ourselves, or are we willingly allowing them to resound through our words and deeds?

Obeying is a result of joy. O you who trust in Jesus, Redeemed at incalculable cost, Do you share Christ with others and try to win the unconverted?

He also took up the mantle of Elijah. — 2 Kings 2:13

It can be challenging to give up our positions after we've done them successfully for a long time in favor of someone more capable or younger. Elijah was in a similar circumstance. His time in ministry was running out. However, his disposition demonstrated his faith in God. Elisha, his successor, heard him say, "Ask! Before I'm taken away from you, what can I do for you? (2 Ki. 2:9).

Perhaps it's time for you to let go of a position you've had for a while. It could occur at work or even in a church ministry. Pray for the ability to accept God's plan for your life. and then politely withdraw.

If we don't care who receives the credit, there is no end to the good we can do. When God asks you to stop doing something you truly loved doing, accept His pick of someone else and allow Him to offer you new task.

Open rebuke is better than love carefully concealed. — Proverbs 27:5

Elijah was labeled as Ahab's enemy in 1 Kings 21:20. But he was mistaken. His closest friend on earth was actually the prophet. He could have become a fine king and a child of God if he had just listened to God's servant.

Lord, enable us to confront people with their sin in a loving manner. Assist us in seeing that those who call our sins out are not our foes but rather our actual friends.

True friends will only speak kind and honest things.
Even while it may hurt us, they are considering our best interests and everything we stand to gain.

Through love serve one another. — Galatians 5:13

The apostle Paul praised numerous church members who resembled this man in Romans 16. He singled out Persis, Priscilla, Aquila, Mary, and a number of other women who had worked for the Lord with ready hearts and hands. They were constantly occupied serving the needs of other believers and were not content to provide meager service.

When we have experienced God's unfathomable grace, we should be moved to compassion for our fellow Christians. We are essentially saying, "God has given me so much," by reaching out to them and supporting them however we can. There must be something else I can do for you.

While serving God is possible without loving Him, the reverse is not true. They who carry the load of people who are heavily burdened by care lead beautiful lives; sincere are they who consistently provide compassionate assistance wherever they go.

Even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. — Colossians 3:13

What excellent illustration of how we frequently treat one another! We offer forgiveness, but it is shallow and motivated by self-interest. We claim to forgive, but when even the smallest amount of conflict occurs, how quickly we bring up old grudges. We prefer to "bury the hatchet" while leaving the handle exposed. That way, we can quickly take it back up and apply it to our benefit.

How can we refuse to provide forgiveness to people who have committed sins against us if our spotless Lord is prepared to pardon us—despite all of our faults? True Christlike forgiveness fully bury's the grudge.

Relationships can be patched up with forgiveness. As You did so frequently, permit me to turn the other cheek. Permit me to experience the thrill of love when I declare, "I forgive."

He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” — Revelation 21:5

Jesus stated in John 14:2–3 that He would create a special place for people who love Him before He ascended to heaven. Years later, He appeared to His disciple John in a vision and talked to him in as much detail as a human being's limited understanding could comprehend. Since that time, God's people have speculated eagerly about "a new heaven and a new earth," where there will be no more suffering or death (Rev. 21:1, 4).

We will serve God without growing weary after we are freed from the penalty of sin (22:3–4). When we see Jesus, we will resemble Him (1 John 3:2).

Heaven: free from suffering, night, death, and crying. My ultimate desire is to meet His face, and I will follow this route through stress and adversity until I am satisfied to do so.

Have you not even read this Scripture? — Mark 12:10

We also continue to write them. Solomon's statement that "of making many books there is no end" (Eccl. 12:12) is understandable.

But the Bible is the only book that supersedes all others. It is the written Word of God that was free from error and inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16). It is God's truth, guiding our beliefs and way of life. Everyone should be compelled to read this book!

What do you say? Have you recently read His Book?

The books that men write and the book that creates men are very different from one another. Our history has been recorded in numerous works.
But one book, the Bible, illustrates the real way—it tells of the Savior, God's Son—in contrast to everything we have thought, said, and done.

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yes, our God is merciful. — Psalm 116:5

The psalmist came dangerously close to losing his life. It was clear that he had adversaries who were actively spreading false information about him. He believed he would die since the attacks were so unwarranted and his desperation so intense. He came to the conclusion that no one could be trusted in his anguish and loneliness. He acknowledged, "In my haste, I said, 'All men are liars'" (Ps. 116:11).

A virus that assaults the spirit and ruins our relationships with God and others is cynicism. Even the best of individuals are suspect to the cynic's worst suspicions. Through a keyhole, he can see more evil than others can through an open door.

The psalmist's adversaries came close to defeating him verbally rather than with knives. Furthermore, the impact the lies had on his life and his walk with the Lord—rather than the fact that they were told about him—posed the biggest threat.

Avoid being cynical. When under stress, refrain from making quick judgments about other people. The psalmist did it before realizing his attitude was incorrect. He was delivered by God, and his skepticism was transformed into fervent thanksgiving. You can also receive that from the Lord.

Those who give thanks to God during adversity will experience blessing from God as a result. ’May nothing bitter stifle, O Lord, my grateful song of gratitude throughout all of my earthly days, whether it is rain or shine, good or bad.

For the Lord gives wisdom. — Proverbs 2:6

But whence do we find such knowledge? First and foremost, we require "knowledge of the Holy One" and "fear of the Lord" (Prov. 9:10). The greatest approach to learn this information is to read the Bible.

If we want to learn knowledge, we must also petition the Lord for His assistance. If anybody among you lacks understanding, let him pray to God, said James (1:5). If we are to follow a godly path, we must continuously rely on Him, just as Solomon did when he prayed to God for wisdom to help him lead (1 Ki. 3:9).

We won't have time to criticize others if we are too busy seeking understanding. As I study Your Word today, Lord, please give me your wisdom so that I may fully comprehend Your message and Your method.

Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. — 1 Corinthians 10:31

We who serve God, whose aim is immeasurably higher, need to have a similar mindset if a former communist who did not believe in God could be so devoted. We may carry out the most banal tasks with a sense of divine mission when we have a higher purpose. Christ provided us with a model to imitate by washing the disciples' filthy feet (John 13).

God's redeeming purposes must be fulfilled in this world through predictable orderly social structures. Garbage collection, food production in the fields, and manufacturing of essential items all require labor. We should be thankful for those who perform the boring and menial chores because life is interconnected.

Even painful tasks acquire dignity if we emulate Christ and strive to live our lives for God's glory.

Don't let life's insignificant things make you miss the eternal's great importance. Teach me to perform the meek duty to the best of my ability rather than aiming for a higher position that is not in Your plan.

One sinner destroys much good. — Ecclesiastes 9:18

The spiritual relevance is obvious. The tiniest action or phrase we choose could have a profound impact on someone else's life right now and ultimately determine their everlasting fate.

This truth has two sides to it. An nasty word or a careless deed can cause a lot of harm. A kind word, a good deed, a pat on the back, a true testimony for Christ, an invitation to church, or a serious warning, on the other hand, can do a lot of good. Any one of these seemingly insignificant things has the power to inspire, renew hope, and even be a means by which God draws a person to Himself.

So let's think back on that courthouse, that wind gust, and those minuscule raindrops. Let's be mindful of the significant little things in our lives that can lead people to Christ.

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad. . . . Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. — Psalm 126:3,5

Many of us can recall moments when we were overjoyed because the Lord had miraculously provided for our needs. Such moments are frequently referred regarded as "mountaintop experiences."

But life also has its dark and challenging valleys. When this happens, we can give ourselves a boost by thinking back on the past and using our triumphant moments to propel us forward. They can give us hope that the same God who helped us back then won't let us down now.

In the reading from the Bible for today, the psalmist did that. He told about the delight the Israelites experienced when God miraculously delivered them, and then he prayed for God to show mercy once more.

In doing so, he expressed his desire for blessing through two images. During a downpour, dry gullies in the desert would suddenly turn into streams (Psalm 126:4). The second was about the peaceful, gradual fruit that comes from diligent sowing and reaping (vv. 5–6).

Our future needs will be met because of God's past faithfulness. It's wise to keep that in mind.

The higher our praise, the better our recollection. O God, thank you for all your past and future assistance, hope, and protection from storms.
as well as our eternal home!

Who are You, Lord? . . . Lord, what do You want me to do? — Acts 9:5-6

We enter a relationship with the Son of God that transforms our lives when we accept Jesus as our Savior from sin. We cannot escape the truth that, as God, He has a right to be Lord of every aspect of our life, even though we may not have been aware of all the far-reaching ramifications at the time of our commitment to Him. We must eventually reach the place where we may say, in Thomas' words, "My Lord and my God!" (John 20:28).

Saul's conversion led him to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Saul was on the Damascus roadway when he heard Jesus' voice, and he immediately questioned the Lord, "Who are You, Lord?" When Jesus replied, "I am Jesus," Paul knew right once that the person he had been persecuting was in fact the Savior. He threw himself at His mercy at that very time. He quavered in the presence of God and posed a follow-up, vital query: "Lord, what do You want me to do?" Oswald Chambers quotes him as saying that he was "giving up his right to himself."

Believer, you have put your faith in Jesus to save you. The question of who He is is now resolved. However, have you pondered the second, equally important query, "Lord, what do You want me to do?" Tell Him, "Lord, I'll do whatever You ask!" today.

Christ has the right to own us because He bought us. Lord, take my life and dedicate it to Thee. Take my hands and cause them to move at The urge of Thy love.

You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. — Acts 1:8

I miss the strength that comes from a strong connection with Christ when I am focused on satisfying myself. My ability to carry out God's desire, exhibit His character, and achieve His purpose is made possible by His Spirit. But in order to stay connected, I must pray, think about God's Word, and completely rely on God's power, not my own.

Lord, assist us in maintaining a connection to the Holy Spirit, the Source of Power, and gaining a broad perspective.

An unplugged power cord is analogous to a Christian who has forgotten the Holy Spirit. I am powerless and helpless in the battle of life; Lord, grant that Your strength will be my refuge and that I will constantly want to be strengthened for victory.

Your Word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it. — Psalm 119:140

The scroll, which was discovered approximately 400 BC, was significant because it contained Yahweh (or Jehovah), the earliest known written name for God in the Hebrew language. It appears that the scribe who copied it disobeyed the rule to never write that holy name. Jewish scribes had never felt worthy to write that special name in the past due to their regard for its purity.

We must treat the Bible's facts with the same respect as if it were God's holy, divinely inspired, and infallible Word. Scripture is inspired by God and is given to us. As a result, we must uphold the integrity of its message by "rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15). Every word of it must be respected. It is disrespectful to God's Word and to His name to take Scripture out of context, to alter its meaning, or to support our own beliefs.

Let's treat God's Word carefully at all times.

Open your bible in prayer, read it thoroughly, and happily obey it. The Bible is true and will remain so forever.
When the world has ended, I will abide by all of its rules. It was inspired.

For one morsel of food [Esau] sold his birthright. — Hebrews 12:16

Esau was "profane" because, despite being a pleasant guy who loved the outdoors and hunting and fishing, he sold his spiritual birthright "for one morsel of food" (Heb. 12:16). Esau didn't know he had sacrificed the long-term on the altar of the short-term until it was too late to repair his miserable bargain.

We should exercise caution when making "bargains" in life. Our society values what is valuable highly while devaluing that which has intrinsic value.

Ask the Lord to guide you in deciding what should be kept and what should be thrown away.

Living in a low plane costs us a lot of money. The small decisions we have to make will determine the direction our lives go; we can either select the way of the light or stray into the deepest black.

Aquila and Priscilla . . . explained to [Apollos] the way of God more accurately. — Acts 18:26

We wonder where to seek for a marriage that is working when we notice more and more marriage issues all around us.

How about the tale of a couple who managed to maintain their union while simultaneously using their harmony to support the early church? They were Priscilla and Aquila.

Take note of the qualities that made them such a benefit to Paul and that, in my opinion, demonstrated the strength of their marriage.

They showed courage and sacrifice. Paul claimed that they "risked their own necks" for him in Romans 16:4.

They showed hospitality. They hosted a church gathering (1 Cor. 16:19).

They could adapt. They had to leave twice: once forcibly from Rome (Acts 18:2) and once voluntarily to accompany Paul on a missionary journey (v.18).

They collaborated. They produced tents (v. 3).

Both of them were dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. They extended an invitation to Apollos and "explained to him the way of God more accurately" (v. 26) there.

Aquila and Priscilla were a pair that went everything together. They may be a unique couple as a result, but it's a distinction we should all strive to emulate as married people.

When a pair is working toward a single goal, marriage works best. A husband and woman who serve the Lord will also serve each other, and together they will serve as an example to the world of what is right, good, and true.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. — Proverbs 14:12

Thankfully, these mistakes are infrequent. But they frequently happen in the spiritual world. Many people would assert that they will be saved if they are serious in their efforts. No matter how correct it may seem, it is "the way of death" (Proverbs 14:12) because they assume that their good deeds will get them to heaven. I am the way, the truth, and the life, said Jesus. No one is able to reach the Father except from Me (John 14:6).

Avoid the error of being sincere but sincerely mistaken. Ask Jesus to save you right now as you confess your sin and guilt to God.

All other paths lead to destruction; Christ is the only way to heaven. No other name than Jesus Christ, the rising Lord, the One they crucified, can save me.

To stay current and relevant, pastors, public presenters, and writers must listen and read a lot. They need to do research, be on the lookout for examples, and come up with fresh, more effective ways to communicate the truth.

However, speakers and authors are not the only ones who go through this process of assimilation. We all consume enormous volumes of information every day, which can be extremely risky. It's crucial what we do with all of this information. We are destined to come across a lot of trash since we live in a world-system with godless principles. As a result, we must reject what we can't avoid and shun everything else. Without discernment, our minds will become polluted. However, these attributes will be reflected in what we say if we take delight in things that are "true," "noble," "just," "pure," "lovely," and "of good report" (Philippians 4:8).

Let's resolve to eat only wholesome foods so that our output will be similarly wholesome.

We must pray to God to protect us from both evil listening and wicked speaking. Keep my tongue, Lord, well-bridled; Words of truth, oh, may it tell; Take my heart, its deep wellspring, Cleanse and purify and keep.

With one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon. — Nehemiah 4:17

Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity? — Job 2:10

Many of us battle for a very long time before we can accept ourselves in this way. Accidents and tragedies trick us with their delicate logic. Why me? we ponder. Why hasn't God kept us out of difficulty if He controls everything and we're attempting to please Him?

Satan, in my opinion, believed that Job would stumble over the same query. He made the argument that those who believe in God's kindness only have fair-weather faith. Job, however, demonstrated the power of God's grip on his heart. In response to Mrs. Job's advice to blame God and pass away, he essentially responded, "Why should I be free from suffering? How come not me?

Even though Job sought explanations, he eventually found peace as he acknowledged God's greatness and wisdom. He reiterated his trust in God to act in the greatest interests of all.

We begin to honor God in our hardships when we stop asking "Why me" and begin asking "Why not me."

When combined with submission, ailments are a blessing. Be this the intent of my heart, my solemn, my firm resolution: to submit to God's absolute authority and to rejoice in every adversity.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” — John 11:25

Imagine you were looking for a new faith. Wouldn't you want to serve a powerful higher entity that was capable of doing amazing things? Wouldn't you desire a religion that offered excellent benefits in the afterlife? Wouldn't you want the main figurehead of this religion to be totally dependable and able to absolve you of your sins?

Would be.

However, I recently heard of a religion that lacks all of those attributes but is practiced by a lot of people. According to this doctrine, "God is the beauty and the soft side of things" and "the higher power of each person." "Life ceases to exist when you're dead," it states. And the main character? Jesus! However, He is merely referred to as "a great master of light."

Consider the major world faiths. How many provide an all-wise, all-powerful, and loving God? How many people offer the promise of heaven? How many offer salvation from the penalty and influence of sin? They make a lot of claims, but they never fulfill them. Their assertions are false.

Consider this: Those who place their faith in Christ serve an all-knowing, all-loving God. They have a Savior who guarantees eternal life and delivers them from sin. It is the only religion in the world that is not a creation of man. Why compromise on quality for less?

Only Christ can transform; religion can only educate and reform. Why not trust in Christ today? God sent His Son to die for us; no other life would have sufficed.

Take the gift He has given you.

I will go to the king, . . . and if I perish, I perish. — Esther 4:16

Queen Esther felt the same way. She wished not to pass away. To acknowledge her need for God's particular assistance, she called for a three-day fast. In accordance with Persian tradition, even though she was his wife, the king could order her execution if she visited him without his permission and he became upset. Esther, though, risked it because she loved her people so much.

The Lord watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow. — Psalm 146:9

The Bible commands us to treat widows with respect and harshly condemns those who exploit them (Matt. 23:14). God's special consideration and care for grieving women are repeatedly mentioned in the Bible (Ex. 22:22; Prov. 15:25).

The clear and consoling advice God gives in Psalm 146 is helpful if you recently lost your spouse. He wants you to place your trust in Him as you face the future because He cares about you.

Losses in life are made up for by God's consolation. The years ahead won't worry you because He will watch over you until the very end. He will be your heart's sure solace, your Divine Counselor, and your friend.

Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve. — Joshua 24:15

Joshua gathered the children of Israel at Shechem as his life was coming to an end. And there, from the lips of a man who was on the verge of death, came an appeal that has touched many people's hearts over the ages. Joshua commanded, "Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve" (Josh. 24:15).

This difficulty raises three important insights about our redemption when seen in the context of the New Testament. We must first choose between the devil and God. When we reject Christ, we instantly support the devil. According to Jesus, "He who is not with Me is against Me" (Matthew 12:30).

Second, this decision is an individual one. Joshua commanded, "Choose for yourselves whom you will serve." We can experience rebirth and become children of God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. However, we have to believe for ourselves.

Third, this allegation has a sense of urgency. "Choose for yourselves this day," not next week, not next month, not the day after today, but today.

Have you made that crucial decision yet? Have you placed your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to save you? If not, start right away! Never forget that you have a choice.

The future may not come later, thus the time to choose the Lord is now. Everyone has the option to choose salvation, but if we don't do it right away, we might not get the chance to.
