Their past
They were nurtured on snow and gravel as they tested the limits of adventurers. They were born in the North. And they continue to reside on Minnesota's huge plains. Edgar Hetteen founded Arctic Cat in 1962, and during the years of trail riding, racing, and bringing friends and families together, the company evolved into a top manufacturer of snowmobiles, side-by-sides, and ATVs. Their neighborhood is close-knit, fervent, and proud. And they enjoy participating in it.
When Arctic Cat joined the Textron Inc. family of companies, which also includes Bell® helicopters, Cessna airplanes, and other brands, in 2017, a new era in the company's history began. Because of the history of power at Textron,
The choice was made to switch the off-road product brand from Arctic Cat to Textron Off Road in order to improve performance and precision engineering.
In their role as Textron Off Road, they unveiled some of their most inspirational automobiles ever, such as the eagerly awaited Wildcat XX with its leading-edge suspension system. But as they spoke with their devoted customers, it became evident that they were still very passionate about the Arctic Cat name. Because of this, they decided in 2019 that the Arctic Cat moniker should once again be on their off-road vehicles.
At their location in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, where they have trails right outside their door and mountains just a day's drive away, they currently do the majority of their manufacturing. The planet is explored by their vehicles, yet they're all
