The Zanatta family has a long history of making shoes. In 1946, Oreste Zanatta and his wife founded a tiny repair and resoling shop in Nervesa della Battaglia, Italy.
Ambrosiano Zanatta and his brother, who made up the second generation of the Zanatta family, took over the business in the 1960s and turned it into an industrial enterprise by forming and running the Tecnica Group.
The third generation of the Zanatta family, represented by Anna, Marco, and Luca Zanatta, took over the family business and purchased the Asolo brand, which reflected their principles as high-end shoemakers, in 1998 after Ambrosiano sold the majority of his shares of Tecnica Group.
