When we accept Christ as our Savior, we experience both peace with God and struggle with the devil. According to 1 Peter 5:8, the devil is our adversary and "walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." It is for this reason that the Bible instructs us to "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Eph. 6:11).
By studying and abiding by God's Word, those of us who know Christ can triumph against the devil and the evil he produces. And let us give thanks that, according to 1 John 4:4, "He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world."
Although the devil may not be in vogue right now, He is still in operation. The frightening lord of darkness doesn't make us quake; we can put up with his wrath because his fate is certain.
