According to Ephesians 1:3, our Father has bestowed upon us "every spiritual blessing... in Christ." He has selected and adopted us (vv.4-5). Furthermore, we are guaranteed eternal life (Ti. 1:2). Nobody is more fortunate than us, and nobody can possibly be happier than us!
Of course, there are moments when we feel intense sadness. However, because of God's innumerable blessings, people may ask us why we appear to be so happy.
A heart that is tuned to God will give thanks to him. My spirit is soothed by music in the night, and my soul is filled with delight in Jesus the Lord. His blood atones for my sins, and I walk in the light.
