When I am weak, then I am strong. — 2 Corinthians 12:10

Weakness is something that we generally dislike. In contrast, strength is considered admirable. However, the apostle Paul said something perplexing in 2 Corinthians 12:10: "When I am weak, then I am strong."

He said something, but how? He discovered that he had to totally rely on God's boundless grace when his own strength failed and his reserves of vitality and intelligence ran out. When he did that, he experienced something akin to what happens to a traveller in the desert who finds an oasis with an abundance of crystal-pure water and discards his bone-dry canteen.

Have we figured out how to tap into God's boundless power instead of relying on our very inadequate self-sufficiency?

We must acknowledge our weakness if we are to experience God's might. God shows us His tremendous sufficiency via our weakness; thus, if we allow Him to work through us, we will be able to witness His strength.
