We love Him because He first loved us. — 1 John 4:19

Understanding the extent of God's love for us is difficult. We are unable to comprehend how undeserving we are and how unconditional His love is because of our pride and fear.

God, however, does not love us because He thinks we deserve it. He accepts us as we are and still loves us. According to First John 4:10, "In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son." We are confident that God will always love us because of what Jesus Christ has accomplished for us. That straightforward reality demolish our egos and vanquishes our fears.

Looking for the love of God? Keep your eyes on Jesus. My soul is still in awe of such love—love so immense, so abundant, and so unrestricted!
Say, "Why, O Lord, such love to me?" while filled with holiness and awe.

Though the fig tree may not blossom, . . . yet I will rejoice in the Lord. — Habakkuk 3:17-18

The strength of our convictions is revealed by how we respond in court. This is not to argue that a sincere Christian will not cry when a loved one passes away. We should not "sorrow as others who have no hope" (1 Thess. 4:13) since we know that all believers who pass away enter Christ's presence. We can pray, "Thank You, Lord," because we know He will act in the best interest of everybody. Well put by the prophet, "Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines;... yet I will rejoice in the Lord" (Hab. 3:17–18).

For those who have faith in Christ, the best is yet to come. Those who experience life's pain frequently emit the greatest scent because they truly believe in God's immense love and choose to stay in it.

Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys. — Matthew 6:20

What a test for followers of a Master who willingly left the ivory halls of glory and had nothing to call His own on earth (Matthew 8:20).

Do we genuinely care about those who are in need of the Bread of Life, those who, barring hearing and accepting the gospel, will not have an eternal home?

We should be grateful for everything God has given us. Let's act like caring folks.

Everyone who shares is someone who cares. Help us, Lord, to live faithfully, kindly, and truthfully; Jesus, bless our meager offering so that others may discover You.

Put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering. — Colossians 3:12

The apostle Paul instructed Christ-followers to don a new uniform in Colossians 3. He began by explaining the clothing we are to "put off" (vv. 8–9). He then described the type of uniform we must "put on" (vv. 12–14). We are to put on mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, forbearance, and love in lieu of rage, invective, slander, foul language, and lying.

When someone possesses these qualities, most people react favorably. Their regard increases. With this kind of individual, they behave and speak differently. They pay attention to what he says, respect his authority, and are drawn to the God he stands for.

It makes a tremendous difference what you're wearing. Therefore, ask yourself: Do I have my spiritual outfit on?

Before you tell them, can others see that Christ is in you? Lord, help me to live so that people may see the love of Christ exposed in me, and assist me in escaping all sin and disgrace so that others won't laugh at Your precious name.

Shepherd the flock of God . . . , not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you. — 1 Peter 5:2-3

Both the military and the church can use this leadership tenet. Pastors who are autocratic and unreasonable will eventually drive people away with their harsh methods. People ought to be given respectful attention and treated with respect.

When writing to some of the early church's leaders, Peter recognized this and said, "Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock" (1 Peter 5:2-3). Peter had shared a home with Jesus and had witnessed His style of rule. It possessed the authority of a constant example and was forceful, kind, and respectful.

Whatever our level of authority, "pulling power" has a better probability of being effective than the push of authoritative demands. Pushing may result in outward obedience, but effective leadership cultivates an inner desire to follow due to what is observed in the leader's life.

In addition to knowing the route, a good leader also paves it. Those who walk humbly with God walk the roads of leadership; their generous spirit has an influence that compels us to follow them.

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. — Titus 2:11

The Bible says that we are currently in the age of grace. Because God does not want anybody to die, He is delaying the execution of His judgment. However, the time of grace will abruptly end one day, and it will be necessary to "pay the fine" for the price of sin.

We must confess our wickedness to God in this time of grace and place our faith in Jesus Christ, who has already paid the full price for our transgression. However, the "grace period" will be finished and we shall be punished for our sin if we pass away without accepting Christ as our Savior or if He returns and we have rejected Him.

Have you requested Jesus Christ to be your Savior and the provider of sins' forgiveness? If not, move quickly. When the grace period will end is a mystery.

God's offer of saving grace is only valid for a short period of time.
Don't count on tomorrow.
Jesus is asking you to follow Him right now with what is being presented to you, so don't hesitate.

Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You . . . have prepared for those who trust in You. — Psalm 31:19

We can develop our faith in God. When we do, we learn that God is trustworthy. Everything starts with giving up.

Trust in God's goodness results from faith in God's Word and submission to his will.

Trust Him when your strength is weak, when your darkest doubts attack you, and when it seems like the hardest thing of all to just trust Him.

I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content. — Philippians 4:11

Paul had discovered that one joy—the delight of knowing and serving the Lord Jesus Christ—as evidenced by his epistle to the Philippians. He was now able to concentrate on what was actually crucial.

I'm curious about the apostle's statements. Could I honestly say that I have a healthy indifference for the situation? (Phil. 4:11). How frequently do I celebrate the Lord? (4:4). Do I devote my life in service to Christ with the thought that it would be more preferable to pass on and be with Him? (1:21-23).

When you put Christ first, you experience lasting joy. Lord Jesus, you are the only one who can truly offer joy because you understand the anguish that exists in the human heart. You came from glory to seek and save people, and out of love for sinners, you endured a cross once for sin.

Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. — Psalm 119:105

"He who carries a lantern on a dark road at night sees only one step ahead," someone once said. When he takes that step, the lamp advances and a further step becomes clear. Finally, without ever wandering in the dark, he arrives at his destination safely. The entire route is illuminated, but only one step at a time. This is the way that God leads us.

When someone accepts the Lord Jesus as their Savior, they are aware of their ultimate goal and confident in their ability to reach it. But the pilgrimage route may be obscured by the ominous cloud of the unknown. The weary traveler frequently feels unsettled and robbed of the calm and security the Lord meant for him to experience by potential pitfalls, lurking dangers, and fatal blunders.

However, the child of God discovers by the light of God's Word the grace and direction for every circumstance in life as he refuses to worry about tomorrow and trusts Him for today. The lamp of Scripture lights our route, just as a lantern sheds light on each fresh stride on a dark road at night.

It's not required to look further than what the Lord makes clear. There is always enough light to see clearly if we follow His guidance!

If you are walking in God's light today, there is no need to be afraid of the darkness tomorrow. He doesn't guide me day by day, or even year by year; rather, My Lord shows me the way as I proceed step by step.

Since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God. — Hebrews 12:28

We are aware that the world will eventually "melt with fervent heat" as the Bible states (2 Peter 3:10). But McGraw's message is still valid: We must have a proper perspective on life. Many issues that we fret about are not eternal.

The Hebrews letter's author was worried about our viewpoint. Our gaze is directed upward and away from the earth throughout the letter. We won't be useful on earth unless we are individuals with our thoughts fixed on heaven.

The earth will quake at some point, and things that formerly appeared to be permanent will vanish (Heb. 12:27). It will be forgotten like yesterday's headlines, which is what you fear most today. What you do today that has a hint of eternity about it is what matters most.

The person who simply lives for this life will regret it forever. O for a heart that is willing to serve, working while it is day, nothing is lost that is done for the Lord, He will approve and repay!

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. — Matthew 6:33

Whether we are self-employed or employed by someone else, our main responsibility is to live as a child of God in the world, putting His kingdom first. God just provides the money for "all these things" that we need through the income from what we do (Matt. 6:33). Paul made tents frequently (Acts 18:3). He was able to meet his personal expenses because to his occupation and gifts (20:34; Phil. 4:15–18). But serving Christ was his main responsibility.

Let's keep in mind our principal job description in all we perform for a living.

Your livelihood will come from your job, but the utmost good is to live for Christ. My job, the real position I occupy, is to bring others into the fold of the Master, no matter what my daily tasks may be to support myself.

The chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing. — Mark 15:3

The Bible contains a wealth of information for anyone looking into who Jesus Christ really was. His silence is one piece of proof. The prophet Isaiah gave us a hint about Him thousands of years ago: "As a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth" (53:7). When Jesus was brought before His accusers, "He answered nothing" (Mark 15:3), the significance of this was unclear.

It's a minor but crucial piece of proof, especially when taken with other hints like His Bethlehem birth (Mic. 5:2; Luke 2:4), His Davidic ancestry (Is. 11:10; Luke 3:31), and the soldiers' casting lots for His garments (Ps. 22:18; John 19:23–24). We have a plethora of proof that Jesus is who he claimed to be in the form of these and more than 300 additional fulfilled prophesies. He is the Messiah, the Son of God, and the Redeemer of everyone who trusts in Him.

Believing Christ died is salvation, just as believing He died for me is history. Ideate about it
Do you firmly believe that Jesus is the long-promised Messiah?
Have you embraced His offer of eternal life and forgiveness? Read the Gospel of John if you have any skepticism.

You must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of. — 2 Timothy 3:14

Many Christians are engaged in some crucial fights today. Some people are speaking out about moral decay and social difficulties. Others are fighting against the effects of poverty and alleviating misery. Others are working to change politics or the entertainment industry.

These battles are occasionally victorious, but frequently the opposing side advances. It can be a fruitless endeavor.

How does it affect us when we lose a skirmish on the front lines of today's battles? Even though we may feel discouraged, there is still hope. We can have hope because there are some things we cannot lose since we know that ultimately Christ will triumph:

• The ongoing presence of Jesus Christ among us (Heb. 13:5).

• The eternal life that the Lord has promised (Titus 1:2).

• The presence of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 6:19).

• Through prayer, we have access to our heavenly Father (Eph. 2:18).

• Spiritual abilities to support the church (1 Corinthians 12).

In the everyday struggle for what is right, it stings to lose a battle. But it should not be shocking, as Paul made plain in 2 Timothy 3. Our only obligation is to be faithful. And we won't ever have to question why we should be faithful when we reflect on what Christ has provided for us.

You are ready for any struggle on the outside if you have the Holy Spirit inside of you. Perform your duties day by day with Christ's assistance; be inspired by His presence; all He requires is faithfulness.
