Living for Jesus might be likened to navigating a winding mountain road in various respects. You might be deep in a valley today, unable to see even the faintest hint of the mountains. But you can muster the bravery and fortitude to press on.
According to the Bible, God's compassion and mercy are "new every morning" (Lam. 3:22–23). The Lord exposes the splendour of His character, the accomplishment of His promises, and the compassionate supply of His grace, just as each new day brings us a different struggle.
What today may bring is unknown. But one thing is certain: God will astound us with His unwavering, consistently fresh compassions. His towering summits are made even more stunning by the depths of the valleys.

God's hand emerges with dismal strokes that seem to detract from the picture and gives sunless colour and gloomy skies a more majestic lustre.
