The overarching goal of the apostle Paul was entirely different. He had a burning desire to know Jesus and grow more and more in accordance with His noble example (Phil. 3:10). He desired to serve God by sharing the transforming message of God's grace.
What do we want most? Do we want to be a machine that produces money but can never provide us with true happiness? Or do we want to resemble Jesus more?
