 Unfortunately, a lot of genuine Christians struggle with doubts regarding their salvation. Even after turning to Jesus in trust and repentance, individuals continue to ponder the question, "Am I really saved?" 

The purpose of 1 John's letter in the New Testament is to assure Christians of their salvation. If you accept God's word as true, you can have that assurance.

Christ's act gives us security, and the Bible gives us assurance. I may rest assuredly in His care and rely on His promise because He gave Himself to save me, and He will keep me until the very end.
