Some of life's hurts are so severe and agonizing that it may be difficult to forgive those responsible. However, Jesus claims that if we have an unforgiving spirit, we will not be able to experience His forgiveness.
Forgiveness is not a form of 'holy amnesia' that erases the past, according to someone. The sensation of healing is what actually removes the poison from the wound.
God expects us to return the favor He has shown to us via Jesus Christ to others. He'll empower us to extend forgiveness.
We should always be able to forgive others since we all need it.
Lord Jesus, grant us grace daily so that we may walk in Your path, especially when a hurting soul needs our forgiveness in order to be healed.
