The apostle Paul forewarned his people against following false teachers who offered them "bread and cheese" rather than "steak." They were in danger of putting their own self-effort ahead of Christ's sufficiency (2:8,20–23). In addition to being guaranteed a place in paradise, those of us who have placed our faith in Christ for salvation also have everything we need to live for Him right now (Col. 1:13–14; 2:6–15).
Christ has all that we require. It includes the "ticket."
Live the Christian life in the same way that you started it—by placing your faith in Christ. God freely extends His grace to everyone who relies on His Word because they have discovered the source of His limitless supply.
