It's encouraging to hear a physician acknowledge the link between patient care and prayer. But it's hardly a brand-new concept. Studies have demonstrated that prayer, whether offered by the patient or others, helps quicken the healing process.
But studies are not really necessary to show that prayer is effective. The Bible teaches us that it does.
Have you discussed your struggles with the Lord? He is capable of providing for your needs, whether it be by His direct assistance (Ps. 34:17) or the consolation of His nearness (v. 18). Trust Him wholeheartedly right now.
The best treatment for daily worries is regular prayer. Prayer provides us strength and calm.
