It's incredible how many different brands of breakfast cereal a normal American store carries. And despite the innumerable advertisements that emphasise the merits of one cereal over another, the majority of products are similarly nourishing and filling.
Is that how our souls will be saved? Aren't all beliefs and dogmas in the supermarket of religions spiritually nutritious and true?
Without a doubt! But many others, including some so-called Bible scholars, have come to that view. "If'saved' means being united and reconciled with God, then Acts 4:12 is palpably false," one theologian who holds to such a radically incorrect interpretation of Scripture wrote. There are numerous genuine paths to God, and no religion has exclusive rights to enlightenment.
The author's insistence is a blatant contradiction of God's Word, which instructs us that the only way we may establish a proper relationship with God is via Christ's atonement for sin. Salvation is offered to those who receive it through faith in Jesus Christ (Jn. 14:6) and is completely free.
Shopping for cereal is not the same as seeking spiritual truth. There is just one correct option. Make sure you understand the difference, as well as others around you.
