Murder has occurred in our contemporary environment. It has snuffed out love by attempting to exist without God.
Today, millions of individuals no longer seek fulfilment in a loving relationship with God and others. They live for themselves and are preoccupied with finding fulfilment.
We who follow Jesus Christ must exercise caution so that we don't succumb to our culture's self-centeredness. Our duty is to love others as we love ourselves, and to love the God who loved us first. This is the key to a happy, contented existence.
According to the New Testament epistle of 1 John, "He who does not have love does not know God, for God is love. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another" (4:8,11). Do our actions reflect a knowledge of God?
You will live for God because of your love for him. How tragic when the flames of love fade in hearts that once knew their warmth!
However, Christ will freely give grace.
You will live for God because of your love for him. How tragic when the flames of love fade in hearts that once knew their warmth!
But Christ will freely give grace and make that love shine once more.
