Prejudice towards some races can develop early in human life. Until they hear or observe adults making inaccurate claims about people of other races, children are colorblind. Prejudices quickly grow themselves as weeds with extensive root systems. It's difficult to get rid of them.
Discrimination in employment and housing can be reduced with the help of laws. But no law can make people's hearts free of prejudice. A thorough examination of what Jesus' death on the cross accomplished is the only definite way to end it. We can obtain wisdom from there that is "full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy" (Jas. 3:17).
