What man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? — Matthew 7:9

If a hungry son requested for a piece of bread or a fish, no loving parent would offer him a stone or a snake. In Matthew 7, Jesus highlighted the foolishness of that analogy to emphasize God's willingness to grant His disciples' requests for good things. He desired for them to fully trust in the heavenly Father's ability to meet their spiritual needs.

However, there are times when it may appear as though the Lord has given us "stones" rather than "bread." However, He is using our circumstances as a way, in His wisdom, to offer us something much more than what we asked for.

Yes, God always provides for our needs.

Even when we ask the wrong questions, He always provides the appropriate answers.
