None of us are perfect. We get up every morning with the intention of doing things correctly, yet before we know it, we have sinned. In the Bible, God's servants experienced the same thing. Great biblical personalities show us how difficult it is to achieve perfection. Even David, who God described as "a man after My own heart" (Acts 13:22), faltered (Psalm 32:5). The greatest missionary of all time, Paul, too acknowledged doing something he didn't want to do (Rom. 7:15).
Unfortunately, none of us are perfect. When we do, it is our duty to repent of our sins before God and accept His forgiveness. Even when the imperfection curse strikes, we can still grow and learn from it.
While conversion might happen instantly, developing Christlikeness takes time. Although it takes time, our goal is to become more like Jesus. We rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us until we are finally exalted.
