You shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. — Acts 1:8

When it comes to missions, there are two types of people: those who need to hear about Christ and those who need to hear it shared.

Although I continue to have a high regard for missionaries and still think that God calls both men and women to serve as missionaries in foreign countries, my perception of them has evolved.

Every Christian contributes to Christ's global mission. Acts 1 records what Jesus said to His disciples; it also pertains to us. We must speak and live as His witnesses in order for others to praise Him when they hear our message and see our faith in action.

Being a missionary is what we are called to do; it is not an option.

You cannot avoid your obligation when it comes to missions. Wherever I am, Lord, I will spread the word about You. Whether I'm at home or abroad.
