The Corinthian church was vulnerable to negative factors in the same way that gearbox line had deteriorated. The apostle Paul voiced his serious worry and exhorted those struggling believers to isolate themselves from evil by avoiding it. In fact, he urged them to maintain total separation from the impure things of the world (2 Corinthians 6:17). The more closely they were connected to the outside world, the more it would corrupt them.
Let's pray that God would guide us away from circumstances that could harm our spiritual wellbeing. We are only able to remain sin-free via the strength and direction of the Holy Spirit.
We don't have to let the world live inside of us in order to live in it. O child of God, keep your life free from anything that may soil your thoughts or stain your heart. Your Father wants you to be set apart.
