We learn about the poor choices Lot made when he and Abram decided to separate ways in Genesis 13. Given the choice of the land, Lot selected the best area for himself and then chose a location close to a nasty city. Genesis 20 describes the catastrophic outcome of one regrettable decision that prompted more.
Take note of Lot's oversight. Don't allow one error to become a series of poor decisions if you have made a choice that goes against God's standards. Stop right here and seek the Lord's pardon and assistance.
Genuine contrition rejects wrong and returns to right. The power of habit can make choosing the incorrect option seem simple; nevertheless, if you give God's Spirit control within, He will set you free from the bonds of bound sin.
