Jesus our Lord . . . was raised because of our justification. — Romans 4:24-25

One of history's most well-known events is the resurrection of Jesus Christ. More than 500 eyewitnesses who saw Jesus after He rose from the dead—the majority of whom were still alive when the apostle wrote to the Corinthians—were claimed by Paul as indisputable proof.

The fact that Christ's death on the cross at Calvary totally atoned for humankind's sin and secured salvation for those who put their faith in Him as Savior is equally certain. And the assurance of this is provided by Christ's resurrection. Jesus would not have emerged from the tomb if even one sin had gone unatoned for.

Our guilt was fully atoned for when Christ rose from the grave. The absolute proof came in his resurrection.
Our complete salvation is guaranteed by Christ's empty tomb.  Jesus resurrected from the dead and displayed His might by doing so. He overcame death's powerful grip.
