Jesus had harsh criticism for people who opposed the truth. He claimed that they were the devil's offspring (Jn. 8:44), and that they were unable to proclaim the truth because they would not hear it (vv. 43–47).
The Bible commands us to tell the truth (Proverbs 12:17–22). We can only avoid our society becoming consumed by distrust and mistrust if we obey Him.
Since the Bible states of Jesus, "Nor was deceit found in His mouth" (1 Peter 2:22), we are to be truthful communicators like Him. Today, let's aim for that lofty standard.
One falsehood set off all the trouble in the world. Take my voice, and allow me to sing only and always for my King; take my lips, and allow messages from Thee to fill them.
