As disciples of Jesus Christ, we require defense against the "fiery darts" the devil casts at us. He possesses a number of potent projectiles that have the ability to incite in us uncleanness, lust, greed, selfishness, covetousness, and pride. And in these places, he strikes us when we are most exposed. But to guard us from Satan's most potent arrows, God has given us the shield of faith. Even the most lethal attacks of the enemy will be ineffective if we trust God and believe what He says to us in His Word.
