Bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, but afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel. — Proverbs 20:17

 A tongue full of pebbles! What an uncomfortable sensation! In Proverbs 20:17, a man who had obtained a piece of tasty bread dishonestly is described as having stones in his mouth as he starts to devour it. 

Solomon discussed the bread of deceit using this analogy. It is a misconception to believe that sin will go unpunished. A person who solely pursues pleasure and fleeting happiness will ultimately find themselves with nothing more than a mouthful of gravel. 

In the corporate world, dubious tactics and shady practises may appear profitable at first, but in the end they just bring regret.

Solomon, in stark contrast, declared in Proverbs 20:7, "The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him." We won't get a mouthful of gravel if we live honestly rather than dishonestly. 

A liar's greatest victim is always himself. Let the world pursue worldly ideas; it holds no appeal for me. I used to adore its trinkets as well, but grace has set me free!
