Lord, teach us to pray. — Luke 11:1

The most crucial request made by Jesus' followers was, "Lord, teach us to pray," not, "Teach us to preach" or "Teach us to sing" (Lk. 11:1).

Prayer does more than all the preaching that has ever been done or will ever be done because without prayer, all our preaching is rendered meaningless and ineffective.

It is everyone's privilege to pray. Everyone has access to the gift of prayer, and we can all call on the might of our all-powerful God.

Not every one of us is called to be a pastor, evangelist, teacher, preacher, or exhorter. Each everyone receives a gift and a responsibility from God based on their abilities. However, there are no such limitations on the practise of prayer. This gift is available to everyone. Men should always pray and never give up, according to Jesus (Lk. 18:1).

Root your life in prayer if you want to grow tall in your religion. A person prayed! Oh, beautiful gift!

Connected to service for each of us: interacting daily with the living Lord, labouring and anticipating the fulfilment of His promises!
