A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches. — Proverbs 22:1

Jesus Christ followers are expected to uphold moral principles. They are to be morally upright and trustworthy, choosing a good name over wealth (Proverbs 22:1) in a culture that values the complete opposite.

The Lord wants His people to behave differently. According to Psalm 15:2, we must constantly tell the truth and do what is right. Integrity improves us and makes God happy. It bestows upon us benefits incomparably superior than riches: absolution from guilt, an effective witness for Christ, and a close bond with God.

A good reputation is certainly a priceless asset!

Integrity is Christian character dressed for the workplace.  Help me, dear Lord, to be sincere and true in everything I say and do; give me the strength to act morally so that the world may see a hint of Your light.
