Death is a servant who leads us into the presence of a loving Lord for those who put their faith in Jesus Christ, not a sheriff hauling us off to court. The apostle Paul recognised this because he viewed life and death from the viewpoint of Christ. He could confidently exclaim, "Death is swallowed up in victory" (1 Cor. 15:54) because he knew where death would lead him.
The same boldness should be displayed by every Christian.
We who put our faith in Jesus Christ can view death as a comma that precedes a blissful eternity with our Lord rather than a period because of His death and resurrection.
