Our Lord ended the first Communion ceremony with the singing of a hymn as He contemplated the horrible possibility of dying on the cross. By doing so, He demonstrated how having faith in God and His sustaining love allows believers to face the "last enemy" with peace and confidence.
We shall also experience that type of calm at the end of our lives if we put our faith in Christ.
Christ the Rock is our certain hope both in life and in death.
