I frequently awe at the law's mounting mountain. Sometimes it's difficult to comprehend why we have to add and modify laws so frequently.
God's moral code contrasts sharply with the legal framework of our government. The Bible contains many laws that no longer pertain to us, but it also contains universal truths that remain constant. In Psalm 119:89, David said, "Forever, O Lord, Your Word is settled in heaven."
God has made obvious to us what He wants us to understand and how He wants us to behave. And God's truth cannot be changed, rejected, or put to a vote.
In addition to offering timeless truths, the Bible also grants individuals who read and follow its teachings joy (v.92), life (v.93), and protection (vv.94–95).
Even while our legislators do excellent work, they will never be able to provide us with something as important as the Lord's unchanging laws. And the best thing we can do is live according to the infallible Word.
You can rely on God's unchanging Word in a changing world. Your teachings of unadulterated, timeless truth will continue to hold true even when everything that man has conceived or planned will vanish like chaff.
