They desired death, just like Elijah did (1 Kings 19:4). But God kept them going and made it clear to them that they still had work to accomplish. They learned that things were not as bad as they had imagined and that God had a purpose for them to continue living.
Don't succumb to hopelessness! Keep God's goodness and love in mind. Chat with Him. He'll provide for your necessities. He will guide you down avenues of love, light, and joy where you will discover fresh hope.
Nobody who has faith in God is without hope. New hope is formed within our hearts because our God is there, despite the losses of this life that depress us.
