This got my mind going. Many people don't know what will happen to their souls if they pass away before they wake up when they lay their heads on their pillows at night. Some people would rather pass away than wake up because they are so worried about the next day. They long to leave this world before the morning sun compels them to endure another agonising day due to family issues, emotional concerns, or employment challenges.
This does not have to be the case for us. We can rest our eyes at night with the knowledge that the worries of tomorrow won't be bigger than the God of eternity if we put our trust in the Lord. Yes, we can go to bed knowing that God is watching over us. We can be sure that everything will be okay whether we wake up or die before we do.
God bestows his serenity on your heart when you entrust him with your worries. I don't know what my plans are for tomorrow; I only know what I'm doing right now. But He will tell me, "This is the way; don't be afraid; walk in it."
