Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord. — Exodus 14:13

Keep still! Anyone would find it challenging to accomplish that. We all enjoy staying occupied.

When the Israelites were in front of the Red Sea, they had to discover this. Moses commanded, "Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord" (Ex. 14:13) as the Egyptians closed in on them from the sides and from the back due to the deserts and mountains. Oh, the priceless lessons God teaches us when we realise that He is able to solve any issue and that He will perform miracles that are incomprehensible to us.

Do you have to "stand still" for anything? Have you taken any of these teachings to heart? Ah, then your life has been improved, and I know that you can still give thanks to God for everything that He has done for you.

Keep still! God wants to converse with you!

Problems should serve as a reminder to gaze up rather than to bring you down. Be calm, my heart, for your Lord is faithful, and His holy Word is pure, truthful, and tried; His promises will be your steppingstones across the furious flood that rages like the sea.
