Our culture idolizes the so-called "beautiful people"—famous actors and models whose attractive faces fill the magazine covers at the checkout counter. Such appeal, however, has nothing to do with the kind of beauty that makes God happy.
When we think of beauty, we frequently associate it with something lovely that makes us feel good. However, God wants us to respect people's hearts more than outward appearances (1 Peter 3:3–4).
So, each of us has the potential to be attractive, regardless of how we appear to others. We might reflect the beauty of holiness and integrity that is reflected in the character of God's Son through God's changing grace. We will achieve the type of God-honoring beauty that endures when we fully commit to the accomplishment of the Lord's purposes in our life (Prov. 31:30). The only way to join the elite group of truly gorgeous people is to do that.
The most attractive people are those who reflect Christ. Let all of Jesus' magnificent passion and purity be seen in me. O Holy Spirit, divine all of my nature so that the beauty of Jesus may be seen in me.
