Do not worry about tomorrow. — Matthew 6:34

A lot of us resemble that man. We fret about the challenges and upsetting situations that might appear tomorrow. We grow concerned by borrowing problems from the future, rather than taking each day as it comes and delighting in the Lord's sufficiency for the here and now.

Take to heart Christ's advice in Matthew 6:34 if you believe He is your Savior: "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things." Your heart and mind will be filled with God's peace when you decide to put your trust in Him, and He will provide you rest for your soul.

Stop "waiting for the rooster" foolishly, friend!

Worrying is like paying interest on debt that might never be collected! Why fret? Will the skies be more blue tomorrow?

If until morning we roll around in our mattresses restlessly with burning, awakened eyes,

Creating only barriers that we may never cross?
