 We're all tempted by envy at some point in our lives. The pleasures of those who reject and even scorn God may cause the followers of Christ to doubt if leading a disciplined life is worthwhile. 

It's difficult to observe people who enjoy a luxurious lifestyle thanks to unethical wealth. They possess everything they could possibly desire, including elaborate mansions, expensive automobiles, upscale furniture, elegant clothing, and the newest sports gear. 

They never seem to run into any issues. Their way of living seems so carefree. They carry no weight. 

Things that might bury us are laughed off by them. It has a way of getting to you. You start to doubt whether following God is worthwhile.

Asaph experienced what Asaph did. When he witnessed the prosperity of the wicked, he said, "My feet had almost stumbled.... For I was jealous of the boastful" (Ps. 73:2-3). But after visiting God's dwelling, Asaph's perspective was recovered when he thought about the ultimate fate of the wicked (v. 17).

When you start to wish you were the ungodly and envied their money, just keep in mind where they are going. 

They'll wish they could exchange everything they've ever had for just a single relief moment in the afterlife. 

Avoid letting the allure of earthly pleasures pull you away from God. Now, it appears that the evil prospers.

and care less about anything.

However, they will live forever.
