The experience brought to mind the Savior's warning in Luke 21:8, "Take heed that you be not deceived." False instructors exist in the church who delicately twist the truth, just as those in the business world deftly corrupt the facts and victimize their clients. They appear to be orthodox and utilize biblical vocabulary. But take care! They are nasty and will misdirect you. Keep your feet firmly planted in God's Word to avoid being "taken in" by deceitful error.
Consider each lesson in the context of God's Word. Almighty Lord, please give us the grace to read and mark Your sacred Word, to receive its truths with humility, and to live according to its righteous precepts.
