Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! — Luke 19:38

 A few days before He died, Jesus made a triumphal entrance into Jerusalem, drawing attention to His lordship. Jesus told His disciples to tell the colt's owners that "The Lord has need of it" when they dispatched them to get the horse He would ride (Lk. 19:31). "Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!" the adoring masses cried out as they screamed adoration, quoting Psalm 118:26. (Lk. 19:38). 

Jesus is supreme. "The name which is above every name" is His, according to Philippians 2:9. The word Lord is a portion of Christ's title, referring to His suzerainty. Every believer in Him is a part of His kingdom because He is the King.

By submitting to Jesus' regal authority as King, we make Him the Lord of our life. This implies that we follow Him in whatever we do.  

It's unacceptable. In no way! Not for a citizen of the kingdom of Christ (Lk. 6:43–49). 

Make sure you are honoring Him with both your words and acts on this Palm Sunday. Then you can declare, "Jesus is Lord!" alongside others.

You won't disregard Christ as your Lord if you worship Him as your Savior. Magnify Him with thanksgiving as we raise our voices with gladness. He is worthy of our adoration and praise.
