However, God gives us hope in the midst of our suffering by promising in 1 Thessalonians 4 that we do not need to "suffer as others who have no hope" (v. 13). We can anticipate the day when Jesus comes back and we shall be reunited with our loved ones who have accepted Him as their Savior. When someone passes away, knowing this is a huge consolation.
Death divides us temporarily; Christ will bring us together once and for all. Consider the excitement of seeing loved ones who have passed on before; consider the joy and exhilaration; then consider never parting again.
