The wisdom that is from above is . . . without hypocrisy. — James 3:17

 One whose actions are consistent with his or her voice is a Christian who has the greatest influence on the world and advances the gospel. The "wisdom that is from above," as James put it, is "pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy" (3:17).

Christians play a very different role than the ancient Greek performers. They had both doers and speakers who were passive. We are to be honest communicators and doers!

When words and deeds are in sync, the message is unmistakable. Each day, you write a chapter of your "gospel,"
By the things you do and the things you say;
Men read what you write, whether they are faithful or not—Say, what do you mean by the "gospel"?
