Your Word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it. — Psalm 119:140

The scroll, which was discovered approximately 400 BC, was significant because it contained Yahweh (or Jehovah), the earliest known written name for God in the Hebrew language. It appears that the scribe who copied it disobeyed the rule to never write that holy name. Jewish scribes had never felt worthy to write that special name in the past due to their regard for its purity.

We must treat the Bible's facts with the same respect as if it were God's holy, divinely inspired, and infallible Word. Scripture is inspired by God and is given to us. As a result, we must uphold the integrity of its message by "rightly dividing the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15). Every word of it must be respected. It is disrespectful to God's Word and to His name to take Scripture out of context, to alter its meaning, or to support our own beliefs.

Let's treat God's Word carefully at all times.

Open your bible in prayer, read it thoroughly, and happily obey it. The Bible is true and will remain so forever.
When the world has ended, I will abide by all of its rules. It was inspired.
