Certainly, one should respect and dread God's mighty hand. But God's hand is also a place of peace and safety for the obedient believer. We can experience the comfortable and trouble-free serenity He desires for us when we realise that we are safe in His hand.
We are at a position of closeness, growth, and security when we are in God's hand's hollow. God won't allow us be trampled or abandoned. No one can take us out of His hand, not even the devil or our adversaries (Jn. 10:29). We have no reason to feel terrified when we are in His close proximity.
When we put our faith in God, His might is reassuring rather than terrifying. How could I wish or ask for more when I know that my time is in my Father's hands?
Because He who has set out my path will lead me till my journey is complete.
