Christian ideals are no longer taught in many Western school systems, and neither is Bible reading. But in Eastern Europe, things are different.
The first step in bringing the Bible back into our classrooms and society is bringing it back into each of our own lives. We must read it frequently, accept what it says, and obediently follow its instructions. The psalmist prayed, "I will never forget Your precepts, for by them You have given me life" (119:93). May this be our prayer as well.
Ignoring the Bible is a recipe for disaster. Give us a great desire to read Your Word every day, Lord; assist us in keeping it hidden in our hearts so that we don't wander from its truth.
