According to the Bible, man was created by a unique act of the Creator Himself, who gave him "the breath of life" (Gen. 2:7). He was created in God's likeness so that he could live for and be happy in Him forever.
However, if we think of ourselves as random events without purpose or destiny, our actions will only be motivated by a worry for "the next banana." Our lives, however, have value because we were created in God's image. We are to reflect the eternal glory and purpose of our Creator—the One who made Himself known in Jesus Christ—in thought, word, and deed!

God is the creator of everything, including ourselves. God completed His magnificent creation by creating man in His exquisite image, giving him power and dominion, and allowing him to shine forever in His presence.
