Even while disaster was all around him, the psalmist felt confidence in God's capacity to deliver him (v. 7). He remembered how the Lord had looked after him in the past, which gave him hope for the future (v. 3).
We all deal with challenges. Perhaps you are now experiencing a crisis. You feel pain and fear. You can still thank the God of strength, love, and mercy, though. Take a moment to be reminded that He is reliable. In a crisis, it is the proper thing to do—and to keep doing.
When we consider the magnificence of the Lord, our problems appear to be less severe. Be this my soul's intent, my solemn, unwavering decision: to submit to God's absolute authority and to rejoice in every adversity.
