The heavens will pass away with a great noise. — 2 Peter 3:10

As I watched the frantic activity of people in preparation for this tropical threat, I pondered why people would take the weather bureau's warnings so seriously while obstinately refusing to heed God's warning of a much worse catastrophe that was about to strike the entire globe. The day of the Lord will "come as a thief in the night, with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat; the earth also with the works therein shall be burned up" (2 Peter 3:10), according to the Bible.

Yes, there will soon be a terrible catastrophe. But there is a certain way to avoid its effects. Christ contains it. Those who have put their faith in Him are certain of spending eternity with Him in paradise and benefit from His peace here on earth.

Having you ready? If not, do so right now (Rom. 10:9–13) by accepting the Lord Jesus as your Savior.

Rejecting deliverance is a recipe for disaster. All those who assert that there is no hell to avoid or upcoming judgment day await eternity apart from God.
